About PRO

The Pioneer Restoration Organization is a coalition of communities along the route of Amtrak's Pioneer train, which connected points in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, and Colorado with the rest of the Amtrak network from 1977 to 1997. PRO's mission is to encourage and facilitate restoration of the Pioneer as an Amtrak train running between Denver and Seattle via Wyoming and northern Utah.
